In the early eighties Hart saw success as a talent buyer and concert producer in New York and New Jersey promoting over 80 events per year including Frank Sinatra, Pavarotti, Santana, and Diana Ross. Hart was also the lead talent buyer for the Chicago, Detroit, and Washington D.C markets between 1983 and 1990 where he promoted over 200 concerts per year. In 1989 Hart was proud to be instrumental in putting together the first ever Earth Day concert at Meriweather Post Pavilion. During the 90s Hart was Senior Vice President for MCA concerts, establishing the New York office and working as talent acquisition with such artists as Sting, Harry Connick Jr., Smashing Pumpkins, and Bruce Springsteen. Dave Hart is now Senior Agent at International Creative Management (ICM) in Los Angeles. He is the responsible agent for Linda Eder and Ringo Starr and is the West Coast Region Agent for ICM Music and artists including Mary J. Blige, and comedians Jon Stewart and Jay Leno. In an ever changing musical landscape, Dave believes that the constant of the live experience will always be there and audiences will always be turned on by the thrill of live music. |
